Also in the news, My business will take on a new face all around. Kohnfoto will merge into Angela Kohn Photography coming in February. Materials are still being put together and new logo and colors will take place as well. I am very excited and confident about this change. I hope everyone embraces it as I have. My photography will not change and prices will stay the same. I will be having a special upon the new name launch, so keep your eyes peeled for it on my blog.

Kaitlyn asked to learn how to shoot. Her words, not mine. It's very cute. I told her how everything worked on the camera and how the Aperture worked. It was so neat how in tune she was. Now I have a "second shooter"! LOL I think it's great she's interested in photography. I'm sure she'd blow me away because she's already a great artist.

New Hair

Nathan's hair is getting longer. After his shower we set him up with a new style. I love his hair. Too bad he didn't want to keep it.

Oh and he's still missing those front teeth. : )

Our baby is 2

Hannah, the baby, turned 2 on December 27th. They seem to grow up before your eyes. I can't believe it. With all the family in the house we never got to do a "2nd year shoot". I grabbed a quick picture of the princess. She is full blown terrible twos and it's definitely worse than our first two kids. Temper temper and then a smile. She's like a light, it switches on and off so easily. Oh how I love parenting.

I never got around to posting during the holidays. It is a crazy time in the Kohn house when Christmas arrives. I love having the family here and this year was awesome. I'm so glad that we had our family here at our home for the Holidays. We truly enjoy it.

Jillian + Curtis

I have to say this bride was the most calm bride I have ever met. Everything seemed to move so smooth and everyone was in such good spirits. I'm so glad that I was able to capture your day for you Jillian and Curtis. You two are just adorable. What a beautiful wedding. I enjoyed it. OH and thank you dad for the dance. I haven't danced in a very long time (which I'm sure people can tell). Both of your family are just wonderful! Congratulations on your marriage.

Goodbye November

It seems like the end of the year goes by so much faster than I want it to. I will spend the whole 2 months of summer wishing and hoping the weather would cool enough to enjoy being outside because come on, we all know that Texas is miserable about 10 months out of the year. It's either sweltering hot or rainy. Then we have these two glorious months of Fall and winter that are just such a break from the heat and Holidays are included. Ahhhhhhh I can breath. All of a sudden it's December and now you have to rush to get things ready for family and Christmas. When can you relax during that month. Now I'm in the beginning of December wishing for January to roll around. . . which for sure there will be rain. One day I tell you I will learn to embrace Texas weather.

As you can tell we have green grass and short sleeves in mid November. LOL

It has been so nice to get outside and get some pictures. We don't have much of Fall colors in Houston. If we do, I'm sure you have to go looking because I don't see any from where we are. It was such a treat to see the beautiful orange-brown-redish colored leaves in Kerrville. We spend the Thanksgiving Holiday in Kerrville this year. I was able to get some great shots of my brother inlaw's crew and some of my own 3 monkeys. Now I wish I had some trees like this in my backyard.

After doing the maternity and Newborn shots of Austin. I was pleased to meet more family. These guys were troopers. The kids were exhausted but the results were so worth it. I have really enjoyed working with this family. They are wonderful and beautiful people.

I wanted to bring to your attention that there are some changes to pricing. You can see all the changes on the website under "Investment". In addition to the price changes I have added portrait packages. I hope this help those out there that just don't know what to order. It's a good idea to go with packages because you will see you can save money this way.

On another note. Aren't you glad that Fall is here!! I can't tell you how excited I am that October is here. I have been counting the days until the weather cools off and starts to smell fresh with Fall outside. This time of year is my all time favorite. Just think comfy jeans and sweaters. Love it!! I also have to brag about my kiddos in school. I'm so proud of them. Nathan has taken well to Kindergarten, he loves it. He has made some friends that he can't stop talking about. Kaitlyn is doing awesome in 1st grade. I have to say that it's strange to see her come home from a long day at school and choose to start homework or doing something for school right when she gets home. She is excited about school and I am giddy over it. Today she read her book for 30 min. I'm so impressed with both of them. Oh I love being a mom.

Hurricane Ike is on his way to Houston. Yesterday I met an awesome family. Thank you Julie and Trevor for being patient with me and doing the belly pictures with all this craziness happening around us. I am very happy with the result and can't wait to show you more. So for now, I have a sneak peek. Thanks to preparing for Ike, I only had time to do one very quickly.

On another note about the hurricane. Please everyone in the Houston/Coastal areas be safe and think smart. We have about 15 hours until landfall. I wish you all the best.

My Birthday Weekend and other news

Was Great!! I had a fabulous time and to end the summer we went to the beach. Everyone had a great time and of course I couldn't forget pictures of my little ones.

My Baby's First Haircut

My youngest had her hair cut for the first time yesterday. I feel like it changed her completely. She is a big girl now and the haircut shows it. Just over the 15 month mark for her. I can't believe how fast they grow.

You do things you normally wouldn't do to make them happy. They wanted to ride the Ferris Wheel, and trust me I am not a fan of the ferris wheel. I elected myself to be the one to ride it and it was ok. Just ok you ask? YES just ok. I was so nervous I made the kids hold on tight!

It was so strange to have Easter so early this year. I think about it this week and wow this would be about the time I'd be getting ready for Easter. We had a good one. The kids loved everything they got to do! What a fun weekend.
